Micklem Measurement Guide:

Measure the distance from the bottom point of the protruding cheek bone on one side of the head to the bottom point of the protruding cheek bone on the other side of the head, going over the bridge of the nose.

Under 27 cm (10.6 inches) = Pony
27 - 29 cm (10.6 to 11.4 inches) = Small Horse
29 - 31 cm (11.4 to 12.2 inches) = Standard Horse
31 - 33 cm (12.2 inches to 13 inches) = Large Horse

The Multi-bridle, like the Micklem Competition bridle, has been very carefully designed around the intricate anatomy of the horse's skull and creates superior comfort by avoiding placing pressure on sensitive areas such as the facial nerves, cheekbones, the inside of the cheeks and the fragile nose bones.

Features of the Micklem Multi-Bridle include; extra wide padded headpiece over the poll and extra padding across the nose, down the cheeks and over the brow band, a small 'D' ring on the noseband to allow for safe lunging from the bridle. The D-ring option results in nil risk of damage to the mouth, this is an excellent option if your horse or pony is sensitive or resistant in the mouth. The Micklem Multi-Bridle comes complete with tongue protection bit clips, spare bit straps, a curb groove strap and a strong bitless strap. The unique removeable bit clips can be attached to the bit rings to avoid any excess pressure on the horse's tongue or bars. Bit clips can be used with both the Micklem Competition bridles and the Micklem Multi-bridle, but must be removed during most forms of competitive sport to meet with rules and regulations.

The Rambo Micklem Multi-Bridle is approved for NZEF Competition in Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing disciplines and is FEI approved. If you choose to use the bit clips these need to be removed prior to competition to meet with regulations.

*Please note: HorseFit accepts size exchanges on all of our Micklem Bridles sold. A small postage fee will apply but we don't charge a packing and handling fee on bridle exchanges. Correct fitting is really important, please contact us if you have any questions. We do have 'trial' bridles available for a small onetime fee of $15 if you would like to sample one or two sizes prior to purchase.

*Beware we have been notified that there are low priced copy versions of the Micklem bridle on the market, these have not been made or tested by Horseware and there are concerns regarding the structural strength of these bridles. Horseware stands behind the strength, longevity and effectiveness of the design and leather of their Micklem bridles 100%. Please check that you are buying an original if you are buying second hand. You will know this by looking at the Micklem stamp on the padded headpiece over the ears.

Shipping

We know you're excited about receiving your order, so we aim to get it to you fast! Your goodies will be dispatched through NZ Post Courier. Most orders ship out the next day, apart from when the courier is closed during weekends and public holidays.

If an item is urgently needed, contact us straight away and we will do our best to have the product dispatched the same day.

North Island deliveries require 1–3 business days.

South Island deliveries require 3-5 business days.

We pride ourselves on providing our customers with the best possible shipping rates we can offer. To achieve this we cover a portion of the shipping fees to a rural address and offer a flat-rate shipping fee to your region.

Hawke's Bay, Manawatu-Whanganui, Taranaki, Wellington - $12.00

How do I make a return?

We want you to love what you ordered. If something's not quite right or you’ve had a change of mind, you have 21 days from your purchase date to return or exchange your item.

Eligibility

Received an incorrect item(s) in your order
Received a damaged or faulty item
Changed your mind (the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund)

Trying the item on your horse is perfectly fine and encouraged. But please do so over a cotton, cooler or sheet to avoid horsehair transferring onto the product, that way if a return/exchange is required the product is received back to us clean, unused, with tags and in its original packaging. No need to be a folding expert, let us handle that part.

Eligible items can be returned to us by following these steps:

Email admin@horsefit.co.nz or use the Contact Us form to initiate the returns process. Please don't return items directly to the manufacturer.

You'll need to provide a receipt or proof of purchase. Don't have one? Contact us, we can help you find that.

Faulty and/or damaged items - a photo will be required

A return shipping label and instructions for your product return will be sent to the email account on your order. If you wish to redirect to a different email account, we can do that, just let us know.

If the item isn't in its original condition (e.g. damaged or missing parts), we may issue a partial refund or return the item to you.

Sale & Clearance Items:

Sale items are eligible for return, exchange or credit
Clearance items or Last of the Line are final sale, and not eligible for return. However, if you have a clearance item that you believe is faulty, please reach out to us for further assistance.

Who pays for the return of the item?

It is important to us that the item being used on your horse is the correct size. We wish to make size exchanges as affordable as possible for our customers. We will ship the correct size to you free of charge.

You are responsible for the return shipping cost of the incorrect size being exchanged. The invoice for this fee will be sent to the email account on the order, along with a printable pre-paid shipping label. The return shipping fee must be paid prior to the exchange item’s release.

How long will my refund take to process?

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5-7 business days after we inspect and approve the return. We'll email you with an update. Initial shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Refunds for non-faulty items (e.g. change of mind) will have shipping costs deducted from the refunded amount.
If your order had free shipping, the cost of return delivery will be deducted from your refunded amount.
Store credits (not due to a product fault) are valid for 12 months
